 Intel Pentium4 3.46 Extreme Edition / 925XE chipset
(Review by MS November 16)
Intel P4 560+ At:

3D Rendering

3D rendering is one of the few disciplines where it actually makes sense to have a faster system. Amongst the more interesting applicaitions are 3ds max, Amorphium, Lightwork, Lightwave, Caligari's various iterations and Maya. For this round, we are using 3ds max, Lightwork and Amorphium since they have built-in counters to take the guesswork out of the results.

Runtime in seconds, lower is better. Cache rules within the P4 roundup but floating point is better as the dominance of AMD processors shows.

Amorphium3

Runtime in seconds, lower is better. Amorphium3 finally shows the P4 ExtremeEdition in a better light and also reveals at least some performance increase of the 1066MHz host bus interface
