Conclusions and Paradoxes

 Intel Pentium4 3.46 Extreme Edition / 925XE chipset
(Review by MS November 16)
Intel P4 560+ At:

DOOM3 -- FarCry

DOOM3 is one of the most demanding games in terms of system requirement, similar holds true for FarCry. In order to keep the influence of the graphics card minimized, we ran DOOM3 at 640x 480 pixels resolution with the quality set to low. The benchmark used was Demo1. For benchmarking of FarCry, we recorded our own demo in the Steam level at the first outpost with 5 or 6 of the mercenaries walking around, tying their shoe laces, doing all these manly things like scratching the crotch or watering the trees for maximum CPU load. As always, the demo is available on request along with a custom benchmark script.

Another marginal victory...
