 Intel Pentium4 3.46 Extreme Edition / 925XE chipset
(Review by MS November 16)
Intel P4 560+ At:

Internet Content Creation

Most of the benchmarked models involve large files with quite a bit of integer operations as the actual workload. Memory and cache really don't matter that much compared to clock speed and even the infamous IPC is not really relevant here

3D Content Creation

3D Creation only shows the impact of the marginally higher clock speed.

Intel P4 Northwood 2.4
(hard to find)

2D content Creation

The same holds for 2D ContentCreation

Web Publishing

It is open for discussion whether there is a real performance increase of the "-E" version of the Alderwood chipset or not In summary, it is hard to justify any performance increase in Content Creation applications beyond the slightly higher clock speed.
