Sysmark 2004
In many ways the most comprehensive benchmark for general performance is Sysmark2004. We could have used PCMags Winstone suite as well, but for the time being we prefer Sysmark, despite some slight bias towards Intel processors.
Overall Score
The 3800+ does not win this category but comes close to the FX53.
Internet Content Creation
Overall Internet Content Creation paints a similar picture as above.

Office Productivity
Also in office applications, we are getting the same rankings.
Composite sores are somewhat interesting but application-specific benchmark results give a more detailed picture of what is really happening or where the specific strengths and weaknesses of each CPU lie.
