 AMD Athlon64 FX53
(Review by MS, July 1, 2004)
AMD Athlon64 3000+ At:

Sysmark 2004

In many ways the most comprehensive benchmark for general performance is Sysmark2004. We could have used PCMags Winstone suite as well, but for the time being we prefer Sysmark, despite some slight bias towards Intel processors.

Overall Score

The 3800+ does not win this category but comes close to the FX53.

Internet Content Creation

Overall Internet Content Creation paints a similar picture as above.

AMD Athlon64 3800+ At:

Office Productivity

Also in office applications, we are getting the same rankings.

Composite sores are somewhat interesting but application-specific benchmark results give a more detailed picture of what is really happening or where the specific strengths and weaknesses of each CPU lie.
