 AMD's AM2 Platform
DDR2 ... Moving On
(Review by MS May 23, 2006)

3DMark 2005 CPU Test

The CPU test of 3DMark2005 is multithreaded and yields more granularity in the results than the 2006 version which is the reason why we are still using it here.

The AM2 platform does quite well here. Again, we saw a performance difference for the half-cache CPUs but not so much for the full cache FX-62 depending on the memory frequency.

When it comes to Score/Watt, there seems nothing out there that can match the single Venice core
