With the multithreaded benchmarks out of the way it is time to focus our simple minds on those straightforward benchmarks that are mostly singlethreaded. All benchmarks show the runtime in seconds, lower is better:

Some of the filters in Adobe Photoshop are single-threaded but most aren't. Therefore, a single CPU / core suffices.

Adobe Premiere is supposedly multithreaded but the multithreading capabilities are very limited.

MusicMatch Jukebox does not make use of multple cores or even HT either.
