Gaming Performance
Currently, gaming is still the one parameter against which everything is measured. No doubt that there is a strong impact of the graphics cards on the system performance, however, using the same GPU at the same setting with the same amount of memory at the same frequency along with the same drivers should leave the platform as the only variable in the comparison, at least in the first set of benchmark.
In gaming applications, the 925 platform does not look as hot as in the previous set of benchmark. Left to right: Intel vs. Intel. 3DMark2001SE, X2 Rolling Demo, MDK2
In Comanche4 (800 x 600) and Unreal Tournament 2003 Botmatch (1280 x 960), we did not find a difference between the ATI RADEON 9800 Pro and the nVidia GeForce 6800 (at the resolutions and settings used) and, therefore, we have a comparison with an entire gamut of different platforms.
