Performance Per Watt

We have been using this metric for quite some time now, the CPU benchmark within 3DMark'05 is extremely well suited, especially since at least the second part is multithreaded and, thus, takes advantage of multiple CPUs or cores.

There is not doubt that the 955 ExtremeEdition has some severe horse power and the CPU score shows it.

When it comes to power efficiency, though, the Intel flagship processor falls way behind.
