 Intel P4 Extreme Edition
Cache Size Matters
(Review by MS, October 11, 2003)
Winstones

Everybody knows what Winsones are and that they are amongst the applications that will benefit most from the increased size. Keep in mind that these are system / multitasking benchmarks, meaning that even sizeable improvements will increase the score only by a small amount.

Content Creation Winstone2003

As expected, the L3 cache boosts the performance in Content Creation Winstone2003.

Business Winstone2002

Business Winstone2002 shows a predicted larger increase, with the result that the P4 EE can finally pull ahead of the Athlon XP 3200+.
