 Intel Pentium4 600 Series
(Review by MS February 21, 2005)
Intel P4 630+ At:

Gaming Performance

Comanche4

The 560-925XE denotes the P4 560 running at 14 x 1066 = 3.73GHz. Comanche4 was the one game that showed the single most performance improvement for the ExtremeEdition with the added L3 cache. At the same time, Prescott really had the hardest time in Comanche4. Not that it is the greatest game or even widely played but it is definitely worth looking at just from a hypothetical performance point of view. As it turns out, the extra cache does pay off here but the performance of the 600 series is still a far cry from what other processors deliver.

FarCry

Speaking of FarCry, here the 600 series has a chance to reedem itself. Interestingly. though, the difference only exists at the 800 MHz PSB but not at the 1066 MHz interface.
