3DMark has become one of the standard benchmarks for the gaming community. For a simple evaluation of the CPU performance it may not be the most suitable tool since 3DMark2001SE even more than 3DMark2001 is extremely dependent on the graphics card. Nonetheless, here are some numbers. All benchmarks were run at 1024x7168x32bpp (default) despite the message that "the benchmarks was not run using default settings".

The ASUS V8460 was slightly overclocked to 682 MHz memory clock / 325 MHz core.

At the same video card settings, overclocking the CPU results in a very healthy boos in performance.
