 Intel Pentium4 840 Extreme Edition and 840D
.... the name of the rose ...
(Review by MS June 20, 2005)
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ (Venice)

Worldbench5 Continued

Adobe Premiere and Roxio VideoWave Movie Creator are more geared towards parallel processing of multiple threads, whereas zipping or unzipping a file may not be able to take advantage of multiple cores - a zipper is not opened at multiple levels either. Likewise, Jukebox processing of audio streams may not be the application to bring out the best in multiple cores either.

Adobe Premiere is one of the applications that is pseudo-optimized for multi-threading but realistically, all one can expect from two cores is approximately 60-65% CPU utilization.
