 Intel Pentium4 "Prescott"
To Scale or not to Scale, that is our question.
(Review by MS, May. 23, 2004)
Intel Prescott
Starting at:
Electric Image Amorphium3

One of my favorite time wasters is Electric Image's Amorphium3. Anyone who is interested in 3D rendering should at least take a look at the free download after perusing the ElectricImage Home page. We used our Athlon64 FX theme for rendering at 1024 x 768 pixels with shadows and radiosity enabled.

Runtime in seconds, shorter is better

For a simplified side by side comparison:

Prescott (navy blue), Northwood (periwinkle) and ExtremeEdition (dark blue). Again, Northwood is faster and appears to scale better than the Prescott.
