This is basically what I've used for the past 6 years whenever I had way more RAM installed than the system ever needed. Some software implementations were buggy (mainly the driver), others work very well.

I detailed my usage and results on a forum either late 2008 or early 2009. I don't have the logins to 95% of the registered forums anymore, so I stopped visiting them. Severe data loss meant I stopped mentioning anything the data was lost for and took down all obsolete data in connection with those topics. The surviving fragments will be somewhere around online. :)
