Gaming Benchmarks
Most gaming benchmarks are very sensitive with respect to memory latencies and bandwidth. Aquamark is one example with moderate impact of memory on performance, FinalFantasy XI is one of the most sensitive applications overall with respect to memory as we have shown recently in our Registered DDR400 DIMM roundup.
Aquamark3
Aquamark generates three separate scores, one for the raw graphics performance, the second one for CPU power and the third for the overall frame rate achieved during the run of the benchmark.

Red bars: 2 GB total, gray bars: 1 GB total system memory: There is a small performance hit at the 2 GB memory configuration but it is still hardly noticeable.
Final Fantasy XI
Final Fantasy XI Benchmark2 is one of these benchmarks that mercilessly exposes any weakness in the memory subsystem

Red bars: 2 GB total, gray bars: 1 GB total system memory: Again, there is a small hit in the order of a bit over 1% for the 2 GB configuration.
