 AMD Athlon64 3200+ - ASUS K8V Deluxe
The Middle Grounds
(Review by MS, November 3, 2003)
K8V Deluxe At:
BIOS

ASUS is using a similar American Megatrend Inc. (AMI) BIOS as in most of their latest boards, with the traditional blue-on-gray text. As usual, the menu is divided into the Main, Advanced, Power, Boot and Exit categories with most of the interesting stuff for performance tuning hidden in the Advanced sub-menu.

In general the structure of the BIOS GUI is ok. Since it is a new BIOS, however, some of the settings are in places where they are not expected. For reference we have listed below the entire directory tree of the "Advanced" sub page (except for listing the different IRQ settings and on-board devices).
