Gaming Performance
High memory bandwith scores have almost always been paralleled by high scores in Expendable Timedemo. Unfortunately, the P4 does not live up to the expectations here.

Expendable timedemo frame rates at 640x480 x 16 bpp and 15 x 100 MHz, 16 x 100 MHz and 15 x 110 MHz. The frame rates are comparable to a 900 MHz PIII or Thunderbird.
Quake3 Arena
Quake3 Arena is highly SSE optimized and, as generally known, the one gaming application where the Pentium 4 really shines.
Quake3 Arena Demo 001 frame rates at 1500, 1600, 1575 and 1650 MHz and default fastest, fast, normal and high quality settings. Note that there is a possibility that a GTS2 could have achieved higher frame rates, particularly at the higher resolutions.
