| DFI 855GME-MGF and Intel Pentium M 735 Along came a Dothan | |

(Review by MS, Jan 2, 2005) |
Gaming Performance DOOM3, FarCry, MDK2
We used the standard Demo1 for DOOM3, for Farcry we recorded our own "Steam" LC-5 demo with 6 mercenaries for maximum CPU dependence and for MDK2 we used the built-in "test settings" demo.
DOOM3
The performance of the Dothan in gaming applications is plain and simply amazing.
FarCry
Here the Dothan finally gets some competition by the Extreme Edition and the high-end Athlon64 platforms. Prescott on the other hand barely keeps up.
MDK2
Saving the best for last ...
In summary, there are a few benchmarks that are not won by a landslide by the Dothan, however, in the overall picture, it comes out right next to the Athlon64-4000+ as the most powerful gaming processor.
