Foxconn NFPIK8AA-8EKRS |
Whether they are relevant or not, here are a few benchmarks taken from an SLI configuration using the eVGA GeForce 6600GT. We just got in a set of ASUS Extreme N 7800GTs that we were testing for compatibility and so far, there were no issues whatsoever.
DOOM3 DEMO1 Low Quality

Interestingly, despite a slower CPU and higher latency registered DDR memory, the NFPIK8AA-8EKRS beats the ASUS A8N-SLI with the X2-4800+ - using the same graphics cards.

In Farcry, the NFPIK8AA-8EKRS falls slightly behind the A8N-SLI with the faster CPU.
Overclocking
Regardless of what we tried, the NFPIK8AA-8EKRS is not meant to be the prime board for overclockers. We were able to push the bus speed up to about 215 MHz but that's where we hit the ceiling, regardless of the memory frequency set in the BIOS. On the other hand, a board of the caliber of the NFPIK8AA-8EKRS is not meant to run in an environment where overclocking is the main incentive, rather, the board is meant as a high-quality work station / server platform where reliability counts more than squeezing the last little bit out of the system. There is ample performance available anyway.
