    *, ** we had three different Socket 940 platforms in this review, based on different chipsets. One caveat in all cases is that the Socket 940 processors, at least for single CPU configurations, are phasing out. On the other hand, these CPUs are far from being obsolete making it worthwhile to simply upgrade the motherboard as we will further show in some benchmarks
