| (Review by MS, June 6, 2002) |
MSI boards have ranged from the fastest to the slowest boards in their class and sometimes it was just a matter of one particular BIOS setting that really screwed up everything.
SiSoft Sandra
We were mostly interested in the memory bandwidth (after cleaning up the mess in the BIOS settings and running at 2:2:2 6T, 1T CMD, 4 bank interleaving, 8 QW, memory speed: 166 MHz) and what we got is very respectable, even though it did not really differ from what we got with the memory speed set to 133 MHz.

SiSoft Sandra memory bandwidth (buffered benchmarks enabled), 133 MHz FSB, 166 MHz memory bus.
Increasing the FSB to 166 MHz and running the memory bus in 1:1 mode changed the picture quite dramatically:

SiSoft Sandra memory bandwidth (buffered benchmarks enabled), 166 MHz FSB, 166 MHz memory.
