SIS 648 reference board. Some of the ports were not usable, that is, the integrated network still needed some debugging, and the two firewire ports were positioned in line with the AGP slot. Keep in mind, though, that this is not unusual with reference boards, what we are looking at is a snapshot of "Work in Progress" at the time of production of the boards a few weeks ago. Production boards, and we have already one in our hands are cleaned up. Also note that the board is oversize and will not fit into any case.
Test Configuration

** We received the board bundled with a 256 MB Twinmos (Winbond components), however, most benchmarks see a performance increase with 512 MB system memory. We used Mushkin Level 2 222 PC2100 in all tests, running at 200/400 MHz (PC3200) and 2.5:4:4 (default or "slow") or 2.5:3:3 ("fast").
Compatibility
It is not exactly compatibility that we are talking about here but rather a glitch.
