| Xincom XC-DPG402 A Budget Wolf in Sheep Clothes | |
| (Review by MS, July 23, 2003) |
We used GRC's "Shields Up / Probe My Ports", where the highest security level is "Stealth!" mode; ports that are visible but seemingly "Closed" are rated one notch lower in terms of overall security performance.

In this category, the Xincom XC-DPG402 does not earn a top grade. We talked to their technical team and were informed that the visibility of the ports is a known fault of the NAT router that will be corrected with the next firmware update. The only problem we have with this is that firmware updates sometimes can drag out for 6-8 months beyond the ETA. Eventually, they will come, though.
