DX9c - 3DMark'05 and Antialiasing
From the 3DMark2001SE scores, we know that enabling Antialiasing shifts the scores in favor of the SLI configuration. On the other hand, increasing complexity of the scenes to be rendered can, in combination with antialiasing lead to a scenario where the amount of physical on-board memory no longer suffices, especially at higher resolution.

The SLI formation still does well compared to the single card but the limitations of the GF6600 architecture show.

As soon as we enabled 4 smples antialiasing at resolutions of 1280 x 1024 or higher, the system choked with an "OUT OF VIDEO MEMORY" error regardless of whether a single GF 6600 GT or two cards in SLI configuration were running.

For reason of completeness we give the scores of the GF6800 GT and the RADEON X800XT at 1280 x 1024 and 1600 x 1200 (below)
