X2- The Threat: Rolling Demo
We ran the demo in two different configurations, that is the default setting at various resolutions and with antialiasing and shadows enabled. X2 is a DX-9 demo using alternate frame rendering for SLI.

If all eye candy, that is antialiasing and shadows are turned on, the SLI setup shows its power. Arguably, the amount of texture used in X2 is much less than what 3DMark'05 requires, on the other hand, 3DMark'05 may as well be considered an exercise in overkill. X2 appears a reasonable representation of current high-end games and runs at all resolutions / built-in antialiasing settings without any hiccup. Red: 6600 GT SLI; Turquoise: Sapphire RADEON X800 XT; Yellow: GeForce 6800GT; Blue: GeForce 6600GT Single.
So far, all games we have looked at were using alternate frame rendering. Split frame rendering is more the exotic hybrid in this scenario but there are games that are rendered in this mode, FarCry is probably the most commonly played candidate here.
