Aside from the 9800XT, ASUS also offers the budget version of the -XT series, that is, the 9600XT based on the RV360 core. For this review, we will focus on the 9800XT solely, it has more than enough to write about. .
Top row: The shipping box is about twice the size of a normal mainboard box but hey, she IS beautiful and honni soit qui mal y pense. Under the exquisite exterior is a white box with the clear plastic tray for the actual card, the miniature lunchbox holding the sample CDs and the breakout box we usually find only with the All-In-Wonder series. On the right is the platic tray showcasing the full splendor of the 9800XT. Bottom row left: Close-up and personal with the orange CD carrier and the break-out box. Right: from the driver CD to personal cinema and games, there is not much amiss here. In addition, a coupon for Valve's Halflife2 is included, the web-based instructions posted by ATI of how to redeem the coupon are more than cryptic, though. Click for larger images.
