AntiAliasing and Anisotopic Filtering
The sense or nonsense of AA and AFhas been discussed at length elsewhere and there are tons of screenshots around, none of which, unfortunately captures the real issue, that is the rather annoying edge crawling that occurs in 3D gaming with AA turned off. For the next set of scores, AA was set to 4 x and AF to 8 x in the control panel.

In general, with AA and AF enabled, the GFFX5900 pulls ahead of the RADEON 9800 Pro but can't keep up with the ASUS RADEON 9800 XT. Keep in mind what we mentioned earlier about the brilinear filtering and related issues.
