Install Shield
The sample provided by ASUS came with a hand-labeled beta version of the drivers which did not include the Smart-Doctor utility so I cannot comment on it except that in the past this utility has caused more problems than it was beneficial. It is, however, up to the user to install it or else stay away from it. Otherwise the drivers are embedded in the standard ASUS display configuration utility. At the current rate of nVidia driver updates, it is probably the best to download the lastest drivers from the web anyway but for getting started, it is a good thing to have the drivers handy even if they are not the latest.
Overclocking
It is almost like "Who has the bigger ..." to overclock the Ti500 series. There is enough power to handle about everything the CPU can provide, still in our attempt to break the 10,000 point threshold of 3DMark 2001, we did some mild overclocking to 580 MHz (memory) and 280 MHz (core) which the V8200 T5 took without any glitches.
