Quake3 Arena

As always, some Quake3 Arena scores, after all it is still (after Solitaire) one of the most played games out there.

Average frame rates of Quake3 Arena using Demo 001 at 5: 640 x 480 Normal; 4: 800 x 600 High Quality; 3: 1024 x 768 High Quality; 2: 1280 x 1024 High Quality; 1: 1600x 1200 High Quality. For the record, with the XP1900+ overclocked to 1727 MHz, the Ti500 achieves 252 fps at 800 x 600 (High Quality), lower resolutions are limited by CPU power mostly.

Aquamark

Aquamark, one of the few previews of real gaming applications to come is DX8 optimized and takes a heavy toll on the graphics card capabilities. This is reflected in the almost 40% delta in average frame rate performance between the GF3 and the Ti500 across the bench, er, resolutions. (3: 640 x 480 x 16; 2: 1024 x 768 x 32; 1: 1280 x 1024 x 32)
