Return To Castle Wolfenstein

Finally, a new game from id Software that could potentially follow in the footsteps of Quake3 Arena. A bit too grey for my personal taste but even grey looks different in 32 bit color. As benchmark we used Anand's ATDemo8

16 bit Color Performance

Average frame rates in RTCW using (atdemo8). 4: 640 x 480 x 16; 3: 1024 x 768 x 16; 2: 1280 x 1024 x 16; 1: 1600x 1200 x 16). The3 difference is not too great there

32 bit Color Performance

Increasing the color depth to 32 bit, brings a surprise in that the older GeForce3 pulls ahead at lower resolutions. This phenomenon was consistent throughout different driver versions and CPU frequencies.
