DX9 Capable for OpenGL
(Review by MS, Oct 15, 2003)

SPECapc for 3ds max 4.26

One would assume that newer versions of the benchmark are backwards compatible with older scripts.

Interestingly, the Quadro4 980XGL pulls ahead not only in the graphics (GFX) scores but also in the CPU ranking. Keep in mind that the CPU is the same, as is the rest of the system. The Maxtreme drivers were set to "fast"

ViewPerf 7.0

Frames per second, higher is better. FireGL: red; Quadro4: green; Wildcat VP990: gray. The scores show the results without the Maxtreme drivers since those would affect only 3ds max anyway and, in addition, caused a performance hit (13.51 instead of 15.71). Regardless of that, neither the Quadro4 980XGL nor the Wildcat VP990 are getting even close to the performance of the FireGL X1
