SPECapc for Maya5
Running SPECapc for Maya officially requires a full licensed version of Maya5.0. It is possible to run it on the downloadable Personal Learning Edition after manually changing the paths according to the different directory structure. We still ran it under Maya5.0, though. The first benchmark goes through 3 iterations of a Werewolf in all different smooth and wireframe models. All benchmarks were run at 1280 x 1024 screen resolution. We are unable to show benchmarks for the Wildcat VP990 since Creative Labs needed the card back.

Werewolf Performance

Runtime in seconds, lower is better. FireGL: red; Quadro4: gray. The "Texture" is the texture load time and shown 10x to match the scale of the graph. Overall, the Quadro4 980 XGL is faster, the loading times (Project and Texture), however, are very similar.

Runtime in seconds, lower is better. FireGL: red; Quadro4: gray. The "Texture" is the texture load time and shown 10x to match the scale of the graph. Same as above, I/O times are similar but the rendering time of the Quadro4 is shorter.
