| ATI RADEON 9800 Power to the F-Buffer (what else is new?) | |
| (Review by MS, July 18, 2003) |
Lobby Low Detail

RADEON 9800 Pro (blue/green) vs, RADEON 9700 Pro (orange/Pink). Even though it is trivial, the black ratio line shows higher values with increasing dependency on the graphics card's capabilities whereas it nears 100% in applicatons or at settings that are CPU dominated.

Nature

Probably a small glitch at 1600 x 1200 .
Fillrate Single Texture

We are looking at the real values vs. the theoretical peak performance for both the RADEON 9700 (red) and 9800 Pro (gray). With a single texture, it is impossible to saturate the fill rate because of the address and geometry overhead limitations.
3DMark2001SE

By applying multiple textures to each pixel, the actual fill rate approaches its theoretical limitations, once again, we have the 9700 Pro in red and the 9800 in gray.
