(Review by MS, July 18, 2003)

3DMark2003

It has been in the crossfire and the number of cheats applied here and there are not re-establishing confidence in accurate reporting of the benchmark either, especially, since it appears as if 3DMArk2003 is the prime target for "optimizations". We are not going into any of this stuff at this point and for the purpose of this review it does not matter anyway since we are using the same drivers on two cards from the same manufacturer, meaning that any advantages one way or the other will apply to both cards. For simplicity reasons, we are also going to skip the AA settings for this part of the review. Otherwise, there is not much to say, the 9800 is faster than the 9700, let the graphs speak for themselves.
