| (Review by Jaan S., edited by MS, December 7 1999) |
The DSB-R100 Features:
Setting up is as easy as one could possibly make it.

DSB-R100 Control Panel>
Features
In addition to listening to the radio, it is also possible to record in to Wave format with the push of a button. The recording can be set to to channels (mono, stereo), sampling rate (11025, 22050, 44100 Hz), and the sampling size (8 or 16 bit). The software further allows the user to convert the new Wave file into Mp3 format quickly and easily. Any music lover will appreciate this.
The PC Radio also has a user friendly control console which allows to preset up to 200 radio stations. Moreover, there are also Wake Up and Sleep functions. These functions can be used to set the time for turning on / off the radio. The timer function even allows to program a certain recording time. All in all, the timer functions convert the D-Link USB Radio into a handy alarm clock, way to record your favorite jokes, songs, or programs, and an indispensable add-on to your PC.
The sound quality is not exactly HiFi but good enough for most ears. Moreover, the sound quality depends on the speakers used but it is definitely better than what you get with most boom boxes. All in all, the DSB-R100 is a fun thing to have and at a price of $29.95 it is well worth the investment.
