 FIC RADEON 8500
The Little Card that Could
(Review by MS, January 4, 2002)
The Hall Of Fame

For the fun of it and to see how much can be accomplished with the $6.50 mod of the FIC OEM RADEON 8500, the system was overclocked to 1752 MHz (12x146 MHz) and the RADEON pushed to 282 / 282 MHz core / memory. The score submitted to the MadOnion Online Result Browser (ORB) earned us a (short-lived) placement on the first page of the 3DMark2001 Hall of Fame.

3DMark2001 score at 640x480x16bpp
