Installation could not be any easier. After popping the CD into the drive, the autorun brings up the install shield that allows to select from several options of drivers and utilities. As soon as one setup utility is finished, the install shield automatically launches the next until all drivers and utilities are either installed or deselected. The last step involves, as usual, the restarting of the computer - Everything is ready to go

With this kind of installation, the manual is hardly necessary but it is good to have it around as technical reference and some tips and hints regarding the installation of the card and drivers as well as the additional tools. The explanations for the video-in and out area exemplary as are those for the additional features as nView. For those who are not yet in the possession of the Gainward card, nView allows the user to distribute the desktop ad libitum over several displays regardless of whether they are CRTs, TFTs or TV or any combinations thereof as long as the number of existing ports is not exceeded. The manual even covers the pin assignments of all connectors.
All in all we have no complaints at all with the manual, it is complete, easy to navigate and provides enough technical references for anyone interested in the detailed specs of his or her card.
