The hallmark of benchmarks stresses DX8.1 compliance of pixel and vertex shaders. Keep in mind that the overall score is composed only of the scores in "Car Chase", "Dragothic", "Lobby" and "Nature". All benchmarks were run at 1024 x 768 x 32 at the default setting.

In TT3 mode, the Xabre does quite well but setting TT0 almost cuts the performance in half.

Low detail (stripe-pattern) and high detail (sphere-pattern). It is quite obvious that the Xabre600 loves low detail.

Not much explanation necessary here except that the RADEON 8500 at pulls ahead of the Xabre600 at low detail.
