CodeCreatures

CodeCreatures is probably the ultimate stress test for vertex shaders and it is interesting to see how the Xabre's Vertexilizer holds up compared to the hardware vertex shaders of the competition.

CodeCreatures 1024 x 768: Considering that vertex shading is done in software by the CPU, the Xabre holds its ground quite well in a field where everybody else is using hardware shaders.

Average fps at 1280 x 102400 x 32bpp, nothing changes in the ranking. Also, the Tachyon G9000 Pro does very well compared to the nominally more powerful Radeon 8500. Keep in mind though that because of the very intensive vertex calculations, there is no possibility of even approaching any fill rate limitations and, therefore, the reduced number of texture units in the G9000 Pro does not weigh in

Average fps at 1600 x 1200 x 32bpp. This time, the Xabre600 does not get any benefits from higher resolution.
